CHADIS: An Educational Tool
CHADIS was designed by two highly-respected Pediatricians to assist
in Clinician education. The main focus is the CHADIS E-Textbook,
which has 22 chapters on mental health, normal development and health
risks
and represents Point-of-care learning that is linked from problem
area for the individual patient or accessed by search.
The bulleted format follows medical order: key points, definitions, differential
diagnosis, trigger questions, management suggestions, references and
includes visual algorithms, references and links into National Library
of Medicine on topic for instant search. CHADIS also teaches about community
resources such as Parent handouts, Books, media aides, local
and national agencies, support groups and websites.
Additionally, CHADIS can be used as an online CME tool
with regular webcasts via ReadyTalk.com and call-in access
via FreeConference.com, both of which allow participants to see de-identified
case information. This allows the Moderator to show:

Details of results on that patient |
| • |
Relevant E-Textbook chapters to highlight points
for discussion |
| • |
Handouts that might be helpful for families |
